Scrolls and Greetings

Each year, the Premier sends greetings to Alberta residents celebrating milestone birthdays and wedding anniversaries.

He also sends special events messages to groups and organizations commemorating significant anniversaries or hosting important provincial, national or international events.

Please note that we require 4 to 5 weeks for preparation and delivery of your message.

If an Alberta couple you know is celebrating a 25th wedding anniversary this year, or if you are planning a celebration for an Albertan's 75th birthday, you might want to request a congratulatory message from the Premier's Office. Congratulatory Scrolls are sent to Albertans celebrating 75th birthdays and at five-year intervals, thereafter. Scrolls are also sent to couples celebrating their 25th anniversary and at five-year intervals, thereafter.

Please note that, in order to receive these greetings from the Premier, you must contact this office to make arrangements, as they are not provided automatically.

To request a celebratory scroll or message, complete the online form or download a form (PDF file, 43K) and fax it to 780-427-1349 (for scrolls) or 780-422-3843 (for messages).

Greetings from Members of the federal government (Prime Minister, Member of Parliament, federal Opposition Leader) may be requested directly from your federal Member of Parliment (MP).

Greetings from the Queen or Governor General may be requested from the Lieutenant Governor’s Office or from the office of the Governor General of Canada. Scrolls can also be requested from the Prime Minister's Office.

Across Alberta, various communities, groups, and organizations are celebrating significant anniversaries or hosting provincial and national conference, sports competitions, or cultural events.

Premier Stelmach will recognize these special anniversaries and events by sending messages of congratulations and support. One signed hard copy of the message will be sent to you on request. Please note we are unable to provide an e-mailed copy of the message. In order to process your request for a message, please provide the following information:

• contact person and daytime telephone number
• name and date of event
• host organization
• host city
• expected participants
• photo requirements (black & white or colour)
• any background information about your event and organization that will help in preparing the message. (You may include a brief suggested text.)
• date required (please allow 5-6 weeks for preparation and delivery)
• delivery instructions and mailing address
